1. About this policy
QSG Research is a publication of Quantitative Strategies Group, LLC ("QSG," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy covers information handled in connection with qsgresearch.com, communications you send to us about our research, and requests to manage your email preferences.
This website presents research examples and links to our publication on Substack. It does not provide user accounts, collect subscription payments, or automatically subscribe you to a mailing list when you visit.
Our Substack publication and the QSG website have separate features and privacy notices. This policy explains our own handling of information; it does not replace the notices of those services.
2. Information we handle
- Information you send us. When you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any name, business details, or attachments you choose to include.
- Website request information. Delivering and protecting the website involves processing technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, the page requested, referring page, request time, and security or error information.
- Subscription information. If you subscribe through Substack, Substack provides us with information needed to operate the publication, such as your name, email address, and subscription status. Subscription and payment details are entered on Substack, not on this website.
- Email preferences. When you ask to stop receiving emails, we keep information needed to honor that request. This can include your email address, opt-out status, the date and method of the request, and the mailing list or communication it relates to. If you use an unsubscribe link we provide, its unique identifier connects the request to the relevant email address.
3. How we use information
We use this information to deliver and maintain the website, answer questions, administer our research publication, manage communications and email preferences, prevent misuse, troubleshoot problems, and meet applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information collected through this website or share it with other businesses for their own advertising.
6. Email preferences
Direct QSG Research emails
To stop direct research outreach emails, reply "unsubscribe" to the message, or email will@qsgresearch.com from the address you want removed. You can also use an unsubscribe option provided in a message. You do not need to give a reason.
Substack emails
Use the unsubscribe link in your Substack email or manage the subscription in your Substack account. Substack subscriptions and direct QSG Research outreach are managed separately; opting out of one does not automatically change the other.
We retain a minimal do-not-contact record to help prevent future outreach to an opted-out address. An opt-out request does not require us to erase the information needed to remember and honor it.
7. Retention & security
We keep information for the period needed for the purposes described here, including handling correspondence, operating the publication, honoring privacy choices, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. The appropriate period depends on the information and why it is held. An opt-out record may need to remain after other contact information is removed so the address is not added back to outreach.
We use administrative and technical measures to limit access and protect information, including encrypted website connections and access controls for internal systems. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Your privacy choices
Contact will@qsgresearch.com to ask about information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may also have rights to obtain a copy, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to a privacy regulator.
We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request concerning personal information. Some information may need to be retained for legal reasons or to honor an opt-out. Requests about information controlled by Substack or another provider should also be directed to that provider.

We will revise this page when our practices change and update the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
